Who we are
Eka (Eka Technologies LLC) is an advertisement delivery and management (ADM) platform that includes the Eka mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms as well as ekaplace.com and its subdomains. Our ADM platform serves as a two-sided marketplace, enabling businesses (a.k.a display owners) to list physical displays on the platform and allowing advertisers to place image and video advertisements on these displays. Our platform provides functionality to book advertisements, serve these advertisements to displays, and monitor performance. The platform is also designed for display owners to track their device health, display performance, and revenue.
Data Collection and Use
Eka provides its services primarily to display owners and advertisers with image or video content on the Eka marketplace. We primarily collect PII when and for the intended use with which it is provided to us by users in the Eka mobile application. For instance, when an advertiser provides their email address as part of account setup, we use this information to authenticate the user, share relevant app-related communication, and provide more information about our services. If a user opts in to receive or enables push notifications, we additionally collect a token unique to the app-device combination and store it in our private servers in order to send updates about their Eka services.
Personal Information We Collect
“Contact information” including your name, email address, postal address, and telephone number.
“Technical information” including information from or about your physical display such as model, operating system, unique IDs, IP address, and general location information such as state or country.
We also ask users for “Financial Information” including bank details to send payments and credit card information to process payments, but these are not stored within our system. We use Stripe to handle all Financial Information, as described in the stripe section below.
User Account Credentials
We authenticate users using an email address (user ID) and password to provide the services of our ADM platform on the Eka app and ekaplace.com. We use the Google Firebase authentication service to handle user logins/passwords. We do not save any passwords in the Eka database or backend systems. All user login/password information is securely saved in Google Firebase servers. To reduce security risk, we request that you do not share your account password. You may use the password reset functionality within the Eka app to change or add a new password. Please report any suspected misuse of your account credentials to Eka by contacting us at support@ekaplace.com as soon as possible. Eka is not responsible for any misuse(s) or unintended use of user credentials or accounts.

Account Deletion
Users may request deletion of their account through the Eka app or by contacting support@ekaplace.com. When a user requests account deletion, we will delete their user credentials and associated app data from our system, including all uploaded media. Eka will communicate with users via email to confirm deletion and with further information about the process, including instructing display owners on how to return their Eka device. Note that for display owners, the display turndown and account deletion process may take up to one month if advertiser content is actively running on one or more displays associated with the display owner's account.
We reserve the right to delete user accounts at any time for any reason, including suspected spam, noncompliance with our terms of service, or otherwise malicious activity.
Stripe Integration
We use stripe.com for credit card payment processing. We also use Stripe to save bank account information for display owners. In order to complete any purchase with Eka, you are required to provide your credit card information upon checkout. We never store or receive your credit card information on our servers. All payment information is directly and securely handled by Stripe. If you make a payment, stripe.com receives your credit card information, your email address, and the amount charged. Stripe cannot see what you paid for, only the total amount.
• Since we do not process credit card payments or banking transactions on our own, we rely on Stripe as a trustworthy partner to handle Financial Data.
• We only submit the minimum information required for a successful payment.

AWS and Amazon CloudFront Services
We primarily use Amazon Web Services to host our application servers, websites, APIs, and storage for media (images and videos) provided by both advertisers and display owners.

Some of the content on our mobile apps and website, including advertising and display-related images/videos, is delivered with the help of the AWS CloudFront content delivery service offered by Amazon Web Services. We use it to ensure that content is served as quickly as possible, regardless of the location from where you are using our service. CloudFront is only used for domains within our services that do not handle personal data; this consists of our Content Upload portal, ekaplace.com, and non-PII-related requests from the mobile app such as content and display image management. CloudFront is not used for requests that contain any PII.
Content Serving with Info-beamer Cloud Service
We use the Info-Beamer cloud service to serve content on the Eka physical display network. We upload advertisement content to the Info-Beamer service, and Info-beamer then sends this media to our Eka devices using secured TLS connections. All communications between our mobile apps, websites, Eka devices and info-beamer cloud services is encrypted over secured TLS.

Eka Devices
We provide display owners access to use Eka devices in order to push scheduled advertisements as and when required. During their onboarding process, the network credentials provided by display owners are saved in Eka device's SD memory card. No user PII is stored on the Eka device. We recommend display owners to not allow anyone else physical access to the Eka device or its SD memory card.
Data Storage
We do not currently use any Non-PII cookies for the purposes of ads targeting or analytics. Data on our servers is stored in a private network only accessible by our own APIs, which are protected by firewalls.
Security
To guard against unauthorized access to data or manipulation or deletion of data, we incorporate several security measures. Our system provides firewalls, security measures implemented on Eka devices, secure transmission of PII data, and security measures related to data storage and processing. While we cannot guarantee absolute security, we leverage reasonable and common industry practices to guard against unauthorized use of your information. How We Use Personal Information
Eka Technologies may use the Personal Information collected through its sites and mobile applications for such purposes as:
• User identity management and verification
• Creating, maintaining, and servicing user accounts
• Any payment or revenue payout-related processing, repairs, or enforcement, as well as sending communications related to transactions
• Marketing or advertising purposes.
• Providing services and support to users.
• Improving user experience on ekaplace.com or our mobile app, including tailoring user experience to users' preferences and gathering information on such preferences within the service
• Any relevant notifications sent to users, including updates to our services, promotional offers, and other information about Eka
• Research, development, and analytical purposes, including research on customer demographics and interests
• Compliance with any legal or regulatory requirements or proceedings, including responses to a subpoena or court order and cooperating with law enforcement or other governmental investigations.
• Responding to any user communication including inquiries and feedback
• Maintaining our system security and protecting our users, as well as Eka and its affiliates. This includes, but is not limited to, prevention, investigation, and response to malicious activity such as fraud, security concerns, and any other issues with service security or integrity.
• Any other purpose for which a user has been notified and/or has given consent.
Children's Privacy
Eka's ADM platform is designed for general audiences, and we do not target any of our services to children or minors. In the event that Eka discovers it has received a minor's personal information, Eka will delete such information. Parents or legal guardians may reach out to us at support@ekaplace.com to inform us if their child's information has been sent to Eka and request deletion.
Disclosure of Information to Third Parties
Eka may share Non-PII collected through our ADM platform or additional Non-PII collected via our mobile application or ekaplace.com with third parties for our reasonable business purposes. We will not share any information that can be used to contact or identify individual users with third parties. We may share aggregate or per-user data for business purposes including analytics to improve Eka services. If obligated to disclose information by law, Eka will do so. In the event of any suspected or actual prohibited activities such as fraud, malicious accounts, or threats to physical safety, we may also disclose user information to third parties as needed to investigate, act on, or guard against these activities.
In the event of any corporate change including a merger, acquisition, or bankruptcy, Eka may transfer any PII or non-PII collected to a successor entity. We will provide notice via email, our website, and our mobile app of any such ownership change and user controls of PII.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
Our Privacy Policy may change, and we encourage you to check this policy regularly to remain up to date on any changes. Any significant changes to the way Eka handles PII will be posted clearly on our website and/or this Privacy Policy and displayed in our mobile application before they take effect.

With your use of this site and/or our mobile applications, you consent to the Eka Privacy Policy. Your continued use of our site and mobile applications will signify that you accept any changes to this policy. We will include the date of most recent update to this Privacy Policy.
